Squarepusher - Stereotype (2LP+Obi)Warp
¥5,658

Originally self-released under the artist name 'Stereotype' in 1994, an hour of raw, dancefloor-focused early Squarepusher productions, fuelled by pirate radio and rave, remastered from the original tapes. A companion of sorts to the debut album under the Squarepusher name, Feed Me Weird Things, which was recorded around the same time before emerging on Rephlex Records in 1996.

Stereotype will be released on 24 October via Warp Records, recut as a 2 x LP vinyl edition (the original release crammed nearly an hour of music onto one 12” single!), and available on CD and digitally for the very first time.

Niitsu Akio - Hoax For Electric Guitar (LP)BRIDGE
¥4,455

A rare best-of album featuring unreleased tracks from 1973 to 1984 by the genius guitarist Akio Niitsu is now available on LP. The album features a wide range of works, from the production process of the masterpiece “I/o” (1978), through the period of creating background music for Muji, to demo recordings from the ‘PETSTEP’ (1982) and “Winter Wonderland” (1985) eras. The innovative soundscapes created through double-speed guitar and multi-track recording continue to receive worldwide acclaim. Through the 12 tracks on Side A and Side B, listeners can experience Shinji Akiyama's experimental and ambient musical world. Influenced by J.S. Bach and Jimi Hendrix, his creative approach, which established his unique musical style, is beautifully expressed in this collection. 300 grams vinyl, this album is an important record in music history and is recommended not only for fans but also for listeners interested in experimental music.

冥丁 - Komachi (CD)
冥丁 - Komachi (CD)PLANCHA
¥2,750

“Things fade into obscurity when a populace has no interest” - Meitei / 冥丁

Meitei considers himself an old soul, often preoccupied with the customs and rituals of the past. Recently Meitei lost his beloved 99-year-old grandmother, a woman who he considered to be one of the last remaining people to have experience and understanding of traditional Japanese ambience. His music and art is driven by a desire to cast light on an era and aesthetic that he believes is drifting out of the collective Japanese consciousness with each passing generation, what he calls "the lost Japanese mood". He chose to dedicate Komachi to his late Grandmother.

“I want to revive the soul of Japan that still sleeps in the darkness” - Meitei / 冥丁

Haunting and delicate, distant and timeless, Komachi is awash with white noise, complex field recordings and the hypnotic sounds of flowing water. Though confidently contemporary, like a bucolic J-Dilla, Komachi’s lineage can be traced back to the floating worlds of Ukiyo-e and Gagaku via the prism of 80s Japanese ambient pioneers, and 90s pastoral sample-based artists such as Susumu Yokota and Nobukazu Takemura.

Composed as individual sonic dioramas, each of the twelve tracks have been crafted to not only evoke feelings of nostalgia but to also explore the dichotomy of ancient and new in modern Japanese society. This pervasive narrative runs throughout, calling to mind the work of authors Yasunari Kawabata and Natsume Soseki, as well as the films of Yasujirō Ozu and Hayao Miyazaki, artists similarly fascinated by the reflective tranquillity that permeated traditional Japanese domestic life.

The limited vinyl release, produced in collaboration with label and distributor Séance Centre, includes a super limited special edition complete with beautiful twelve-page booklet featuring a number of prints in the Ukiyo-e style, a traditional style of woodblock print that dates back to 17th century Japan. The images were chosen by Meitei to showcase the old style Japanese sentiments that form a core inspiration to his musical output.

¥4,070
This solo debut album was self-produced and released in 1984, following the hiatus of Guernica. Including the title track on the theme of female menstruation and "Mushi no Onna (Pupa Woman)," a baroque song (Pachelbel's Canon) with lyrics written by herself, this album fully expressed her one-of-a-kind worldview and catapulted her to the status of queen of the 80's subculture. Even today, it remains a classic in the history of Japanese women's rock music.

Moodymann - Black Mahogani (Smoky Colored Vinyl 3LP)Peace Frog
¥8,968

Originally released in 2004, Black Mahogani is arguably one of Moodymann’s most revered and sought-after works. It completes the puzzle laid out by his rare and elusive KDJ 12” releases from the mid to late '90s. With the help of Detroit legends like the late Amp Fiddler, Roberta Sweed, and Norma Jean Bell, Dixon infused his analog soundscapes and samples with a new organic warmth—expanding the deep house genre while simultaneously paying homage to 1970s soul and cinematic soundtracks.

Dixon’s masterful control of tension—knowing exactly when to hold back and when to let go—makes Black Mahogani an enduring masterpiece. It's not just a landmark in electronic music, but a definitive statement in 21st-century Black American music.s

Ulises Carrion (CS)
Ulises Carrion (CS)Counter Culture Chronicles
¥2,341

The self-titled tape by Ulises Carrión, reissued by Counter Culture Chronicles, revisits his elusive Trios & Boleros, a work once privately circulated. Here, Carrión reimagines popular form through a deconstructed lens, where fragments of music and voice are refracted into conceptual gestures that linger between intimacy, satire, and radical sonic experimentation.

Counter Culture Chronicles present the reissue of a scarce recording by Ulises Carrión, originally distributed in private circles under the title Trios & Boleros. Best known as a writer, publisher, and leading figure in conceptual art, Carrión also developed a body of sound work where his investigations of language and structure took on aural form.

This release captures his unique approach to the conventions of popular music. The recognizable formulas of trios and boleros emerge only to be fractured, recontextualized, and reframed as conceptual gestures. Sentimentality becomes parody, melody is interrupted or destabilized, and the listener is pushed to hear not only the sound but the cultural scripts it carries.

More than a curiosity from the archive, the work embodies Carrión’s insistence on communication as a shifting field of rules, signals, and noise. In re-presenting these recordings, Counter Culture Chronicles offers insight into an artist who challenged literary, visual, and sonic forms alike, leaving behind fragments that continue to resonate for their precision, wit, and critical edge.

Rolf Julius - Afrikan Klavierkonzert (CS)
Rolf Julius - Afrikan Klavierkonzert (CS)Counter Culture Chronicles
¥2,341

The tape Afrikan Klavierkonzert by Rolf Julius, recorded in 1980 and now reissued by Counter Culture Chronicles, reveals the German artist’s delicate approach to sound: sparse piano textures, environmental resonance, and a restrained poetics of listening that dissolve boundaries between music, silence, and space itself.

Counter Culture Chronicles is proud to reissue Afrikan Klavierkonzert, a 1980 recording that captures a rare side of Rolf Julius, the German artist celebrated for his “small music” and subtle environmental works. Known for creating soundscapes that merge with their surroundings rather than dominate them, Julius developed an approach that was at once intimate, fragile, and quietly transformative.

In this recording, the piano becomes less an instrument of virtuosity and more a source of resonance and atmosphere. Notes unfold slowly, placed with restraint, allowing silence and space to shape the listening experience as much as the sound itself. The title hints at a distant geography but functions more as poetic suggestion than cultural borrowing, underscoring Julius’s interest in imagery that evokes listening beyond the familiar.

Afrikan Klavierkonzert is not a concert in the conventional sense but a meditative work in which music and environment blur into each other, extending Julius’s lifelong pursuit of sound as a form of presence. This reissue offers a rare glimpse into the early 1980s period of his practice, reaffirming him as one of the quiet innovators who redefined the relationship between music, space, and attention.

Sue Fishbein - Wildlife & it's Results (CS)
Sue Fishbein - Wildlife & it's Results (CS)Counter Culture Chronicles
¥2,341

The tape Wildlife & it’s Results by Sue Fishbein, reissued by Counter Culture Chronicles, captures a collage-based soundpiece from early 1980s San Francisco. A key figure in the mail art network, Fishbein constructs an aural patchwork where found sound, irony, and cultural debris converge into a sharp yet playful critique of everyday noise.

Counter Culture Chronicles unveils Wildlife & it’s Results, a rare sound collage by Sue Fishbein, recorded in the early 1980s when San Francisco’s underground scenes provided fertile ground for cross-disciplinary exchange. Best known as a central force in the mail art network, Fishbein used sound as another medium of correspondence—fragmented, suggestive, and defiantly anti-hierarchical.

In this piece, wildlife is less a subject than a metaphor for unruly activity: snatches of found recordings, cut-up voices, urban din, and unexpected silences intertwine in a restless composition. The results are both humorous and disorienting, echoing the anarchic spirit of mail art’s international dialogues. By treating sound as fungible material, Fishbein extends her cut-and-paste aesthetic into the aural domain, challenging notions of authorship and form.

Wildlife & it’s Results carries the immediacy of a cassette-era experiment yet resonates today as a prescient reflection on media saturation, excess, and play. More document than performance, more collage than composition, the work encapsulates Fishbein’s singular ability to twist fragments into a sonic correspondence that remains vital, unruly, and fiercely independent.

Eliane Radigue - Jetsun Mila (2CD)
Eliane Radigue - Jetsun Mila (2CD)Lovely Music
¥4,525
The long-awaited repress! The 1987 masterpiece (original cassette) of Guru Eliane Radigue (1932-), which combines drone master Tibet and electronic music, is reissued on 2CD! The best drone under Tibetan esoteric Buddhism, with a cloud-like drone that is too deep and a cloud of sound that has more presence than any other work of her. Similar to "Mila's Journey Inspired By A Dream" released shortly after this, it is a work inspired by the life of Tibetan Buddhist saint Milarepa, and is a meditation with a lot of overtones and the esoteric continuation of the ARP synthesizer. The polar region of the target drone. The second piece is a storm of spiritual sustaining sounds that invites you to the deep oriental spiritual world, where the Buddhist chanting of the monks mixes with the drone. If you are interested in Tibetan Buddhism or meditation, this is a historical masterpiece that you should definitely experience.

¥4,558

Part of a series of three new archival releases from Ndeya that showcase Jon Hassell and group in the late 1980s exploring a radical tangent on his Fourth World sensibility.

The Living City captures the Jon Hassell Group in September 1989 performing as part of an audio-visual installation inside the World
Financial Center Winter Garden in New York City, with Brian Eno mixing the band live. Eno had designed an audio-visual installation in the 10-story glass-vaulted pavilion, inspired by the hunting, ceremony, animals, and weather sounds of the Ba-Ya-Ka pygmy tribe from Cameroon gathered by Louis Sarno.

Jon Hassell and his then band, the musicians who had recently recorded the City: Works Of Fiction album, played in the Winter Garden Atrium over the course of three nights, with Eno mixing the band live with the installation sounds.

The audio presented here is an edited selection from the performance on the second night, available on vinyl for the first time, cut across four sides by Stefan Betke aka Pole. Gatefold vinyl edition includes download card and extensive sleevenotes.

The Rah Band - Mystery (40 Years Anniversary Release) (LP)The Rah Band - Mystery (40 Years Anniversary Release) (LP)
The Rah Band - Mystery (40 Years Anniversary Release) (LP)Shock Music
¥4,139

The RAH Band's space-age pop masterpiece, re-issued to celebrate its 40th birthday.

"The RAH Band, the brainchild of producer and arranger Richard Anthony Hewson, has been synthesizing jazz, funk, and electronic pop into out-of-this-world tracks since the late 1970s. Mystery marked an important moment in Richard's career, following on from The Crunch & Beyond (1978), RAH (1980), and Going Up (1983). With this album, Hewson took his pop songwriting and commercial success to new heights while never compromising his unique and unbound production style.

At the heart of the album are eight perfectly crafted pop songs, each standing strong on its own, with no filler in sight. The lead single, Are You Satisfied?, set the tone for the album’s jazz-funk evolution, but it was Clouds Across The Moon, with its futuristic narrative of love and longing across the cosmos, that became a chart-topping phenomenon, reaching #6 in the UK. The track’s space-age storytelling cemented its place in pop history, with many still recalling that 1985 Top of the Pops performance as the moment they fell in love with The RAH Band - if you know, you know.

From the dreamy synth-jazz of Float, a club and radio favourite to this day, to the smooth saxophone solo on Out On The Edge, recently featured on Steven Julien (aka Funkineven)'s DJ Kicks mix, Mystery remains an essential album four decades later - a testament to the genius of one of the most quietly influential songwriter-producer-arrangers of our time.

¥4,754

One of Jamaica’s greatest voices lights the way from roots reggae to dancehall on rhythms laid by Roots Radics, produced by Hyman “Jah Life” Wright and tweaked out by Scientist at King Tubby’s studio

Maybe more strictly one of dancehall’s greatest voices, Barrington Levy served ‘Bounty Life’ in 1979 - one of four albums that year - initiating one of the greatest catalogues of the era in the process. It shares classics ‘Shine Eye Gyal’ and ‘Shaolin Temple’ with the LPs of the same names, along with aces such as the title tune catching his distinctive flow in action, whereas ‘Moonlight Lover’ is a mango-sweet romantic anthem, and his version to Horace Andy’s ‘Skylarking’ brings the OG closer to the dancehall, where ‘Don’t Fuss or Fight’ signs off with a classic flourish.

Alessandro Alessandroni - Angoscia (LP)
Alessandro Alessandroni - Angoscia (LP)SOUNDS FROM THE SCREEN
¥4,154

Anguish [ang-gwish] noun: excruciating or acute distress, suffering, or pain.

Originally released by Octopus, a label devoted to thematic libraries, “Angoscia” is one of the best works by Alessandro Alessandroni: here the composer native of Lazio shows his unique skills as an author and as an arranger.

Famous for his work in the movies – often with masters such as Piero Umiliani and Ennio Morricone, with whom he collaborated to create some truly immortal soundtracks (especially those written for Sergio Leone) – Alessandroni also developed a parallel career as an author of libraries, freely crossing and touching every music genre. Alone, or together with friends and pupils like Rino De Filippi (aka Gisteri) and Giuliani Sorgini (aka Raskovich), he always managed to push the boundaries of experimentation – but with great taste and personality, never giving up on the majestic orchestrations which are characteristic of his art.

“Angoscia” (released in 1975, when the artist was at his own creative peak) features twelve tracks revolving around the core theme of the album – an oppressive state of mind. Each one portrays a facet of distress (“angoscia”, in Italian): in the beginning it’s anguish, then it becomes dismay, desperation, uncertainty, pride, resignation, frustration, desolation, agony, prostration, obsession and – finally – fear. Thirty minutes of anguish never seemed so enticing and nuanced before...

Edition of 300 copies, first-ever reissue on vinyl, remastered sound.

¥5,346

Originally released in 1987 on a private cassette - this is the first vinyl release of the absolute gem. Comes with obi strip.

Masahiro Sugaya is a Japanese composer with a prolific career in music for film, television, and the performing arts. Renowned for crafting soundscapes that invite deep contemplation, his music blends synthesizers, field recordings, and traditional Japanese instruments, achieving a delicate balance between minimalism, ambient, and folk influences.

In addition to his experimental compositions, Sugaya has been a pivotal figure in Japanese television and cinema. He collaborated with NHK, Japan’s national broadcaster, creating soundtracks for documentaries and educational programs that explored both the everyday and the extraordinary. His ability to translate emotions and landscapes into sound has made him stand out in projects that connect the visual and the musical.

In cinema, Sugaya worked as an arranger for GONTITI, the iconic Japanese guitar duo, and contributed to soundtracks for renowned directors such as Hirokazu Koreeda. His work captures the stillness and subtleties of everyday life, resonating deeply with audiences.

The Pocket of Fever, originally conceived in 1987 as a soundtrack for Pappa Tarahumara’s avant-garde dance company, merges traditional Japanese elements with modern compositional techniques, reflecting the fluid and dreamlike choreography. The album shifts between nostalgia, as in Green of the Future, and the poetic hypnosis of Conversation with the Wind. These pieces invite the listener to explore deeply evocative and intimate sonic landscapes.

Now available for the first time on vinyl, this album was originally released solely on cassette and has been carefully remastered to preserve its delicate textures and vibrant sound. Presented in a limited edition, The Pocket of Fever remains essential for fans of ambient and experimental music. Inspired by figures such as Hiroshi Yoshimura, Midori Takada, and Brian Eno, this timeless masterpiece invites introspection and the appreciation of its serene beauty.
