Showcasing contemporary Algerian sounds led by the gasba, a traditional reeded flute, 'My Heart is Dust Before Him' is a collaboration between Hive Mind and Oran's Édition Ahlem imprint. In the Berber language, "gaspa" means "reed", and references the wind instrument that's central to some of the region's most gripping Bedouin folk and ceremonial music. On this 10-track anthology, Hive Mind plucks tracks from Édition Ahlem's recent catalogue; the label emerged in Oran from a record store and puts out cassettes since the early '90s. These selections are a little more contemporary and examine how the gasba forms have mutated and evolved in the last couple of decades, reacting to production changes while retaining the unique sound of the flute itself. There's plenty to explore here, from the dimly lit distortions of Cheikh Tahar Oueld Marhoum's 'Naachak Fiha Ou Magoulhach' and Cheba Negouane's rai-adjacent 'Ychafouni Maghbounat' to Cheikh El Waal's woozy organ-led 'El Galb Maamar' and Mohamed Ain Larbaa's unexpectedly funky 'Sratli Khatra Kheleft L3ahed'.

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since arrival date, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Exchanges
We do not exchange items.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.Shipping
