This is a reissue of a rare album by a man who also taught Brian Eno! Tom Phillips (1937-), a British painter, composer, and writer, has been working with the label Recital, which is run by Sean McCann, who has been delivering a variety of experimental music from an artistic point of view with a focus on ambient and minimal music. Tom Phillips (1937-), a British painter, amp; composer and amp; writer, released his first album in 1975 on Edition Hansjörg Mayer, the label where legendary actionist Selten Gehörte Musik also works, and it has been reissued on LP + CD for the first time in 44 years. Tom Phillips has also worked on visuals for King Crimson's "Dark World", Brian Eno's "Another Green World", The Who's "Face Dances", etc. He has also worked with Gavin Bryars and others on Eno's Obscure label, and recorded live with Cornelius Cardew in 1985. He also participated as a performer in Cornelius Cardew's 1985 live recording "Cornelius Cardew Memorial Concert". Only 500 copies of the original were pressed, with performers including Jill Phillips, John Tibury, Laurie Baker, and Morray Walsh.
