Description
"SHIBOU" by Nishimura's promising solo name NISHIMURA ALIMOTI, whose original was released on cassette tape from Vanity Records in 1981, is the first independent CD.
Established in 1978, Vanity Records captures the cutting-edge music trends of the same era, such as a new band that has been active with values since punk and an alternative approach of musicians who have gone through band activities. However, in the release from 1981, the direction of "INDUSTRIAL MYSTERY MUSIC = industrial mystic music" is strongly set out.
This direction was declared in the compilation album "MUSIC" released in December 1980, which recorded carefully selected sound sources from a large number of cassette tapes sent to the editorial department of Rock Magazine, and its vision as a single work. It was tolerance "divin" released on LP in March 1981, but in subsequent label works, it was released on cassette to convey the latest music trends of the times with a sense of speed. Was selected, and this work was also announced in this context and form.
The original of this work was released independently, but it was also released as a part of a 6-piece cassette box called "Noise Box", which was announced with the meaning of "noise group as a landscape of the times". It is interesting that it is.
At the time of the demo sound source sent to the editorial department of Rock Magazine, the title of this work "SHIBOU" was written in Japanese as "fat", and the other song titles were also written in Japanese. In addition, the content is also home-recorded band-like music with guitar, bass, drums, and voice, and you can feel a different sensibility in various points from other works in "Noise Box".
As the label's presidency, Yuzuru Aki described it as "folk-musical industrial mystery music," it has a decadent sound such as a closed-door sound image, a moaning voice, and a squeaking guitar. However, there are many songs with heavy footsteps (and sometimes tribal) drum performances, and they are finished as hollow dance music. On the other hand, it also contains a private atmosphere such as "Tori Ga Tonda Rarara", and throughout the work, "I want you to record music that you can make without going into the studio and making sounds on cassette tapes, or more private. It reminds me of Yuzuru Agi's remark, "Personal music."
