Seemingly crafted by candlelight and bathed in opiated atmosphere, the album unfurls a midnight soundscape in considerable depth across 15 parts in 64’ - plenty time to roll one (or two) and luxuriate in the LP’s carefully plotted course of dub-swept, smudged bass ’n drums and smoky pall.\n\nLike Raime before him, Lucid Dreams ideally inhabits a certain dark slipstream of intrigue that riddles post-punk thru to trip hop and its downbeat descendents, but also factored with a feel for D\u0026B’s psychoacoustic spatial engineering that is key to his music’s appeal.
