Description
KIIRO RADICAL "DENKI NOISE DANCE" by Masaaki Mochida of Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, whose original was released on cassette tape from Vanity Records in 1981, is the first independent CD.
Established in 1978, Vanity Records captures the cutting-edge music trends of the same era, such as a new band that has been active with values since punk and an alternative approach of musicians who have gone through band activities. However, in the release from 1981, the direction of "INDUSTRIAL MYSTERY MUSIC = industrial mystic music" is strongly set out.
This direction was declared in the compilation album "MUSIC" (including the sound source of KIIRO RADICAL) released in December 1980, which recorded the sound sources carefully selected from the numerous cassette tapes sent to the editorial department of Rock Magazine. There was, and it was tolerance "divin" released on LP in March 1981 that showed the vision as a single work, but in the subsequent label works, the music trend at the cutting edge of the era is more speedy. The release on cassette was selected to convey it, and this work was also announced in this context and form.
The original of this work was released independently, but it was also released as a part of a 6-piece cassette box called "Noise Box", which was announced with the meaning of "noise group as a landscape of the times". It is interesting that it is.
The minimal composition drawn by simple dubbing to a cassette centering on the sound of KIIRO RADICAL's electronic musical instrument may have been derived from a severe dialogue with the technical limitations of the home recording environment at that time, but " From the viewpoint of "noise group as a landscape of the times", the inorganic repetitive sound wearing hiss noise becomes an abstract or anonymous sound in the listener's consciousness (furthermore, noise as a sound outside the consciousness). We have a great view of how this kind of sound can be reduced, that is, this kind of sound can be a kind of ambient sound, and this vision is also for cassette revival around 2010 (for example, Senufo Editions release group etc.) To) It has been inherited.
The artist who made ingenuity in each of the home recording / DIY movements that have spread all over the world since the appearance of Throbbing Gristle, and one perspective that was inspired by them and shown by the label, the value created by this connection I would like you to take this opportunity to experience the strength.
